Described as possessing both dazzling agility and expressive depth, Anna Cannito is a rising coloratura soprano from Las Vegas, Nevada. Raised in the vibrant performance culture of Las Vegas, she first found her voice in musical theater, chorus, and show choir throughout high school. Originally entering Belmont University as a Commercial Voice major, she soon discovered a deep passion for classical singing and transitioned into the study of opera, where she now channels both theatrical flair and refined vocal artistry. Influences such as Maria Callas and Sabine Devieilhe continue to shape her sound, inspiring a blend of dramatic power and delicate nuance.

Her sound combines the virtuosic brilliance of bel canto and the expressive intensity of Romantic repertoire, drawing comparisons to singers who unite technical fireworks with emotional sincerity. With Belmont Opera Theater, she has performed both leading and supporting roles, including Olympia in John Davies’ Pinocchio and Mrs. Heartfelt in Mozart’s The Impresario. Internationally, she earned recognition at the Orfeo International Music Competition in Vipiteno, Italy, where she was awarded the Orfeo Prize. These experiences highlight her journey from musical theater stages to operatic ones, showcasing versatility and growth as a performer.
